Cheddar-Black Pepper Biscuits

This was a fun one. Just before we left for France, I did a mix cd + recipe exchange with Ileana, who cooks all that good food over at A Little Saffron.

Having seen her to-die-for Florida sun-soaked balcony, I sent her this favorite gin drink of mine and a collection of songs about the ocean.

Ileana, having noticed there were no biscuits(!) here, sent me this recipe by Joy the Baker. The cheddar and black pepper made them perfect for a little eggwich with tomato jam. 

It went really well with the “songs for biscuits,” too. I don’t know which I was more excited about, the Mötley Crüe or Beyoncé. Thank you, Ileana!
